How long does charcoal making take?

2.Drying process of charcoal:

Raw materials with suitable dryness should be selected as raw materials for charcoal. If necessary, pre-treat the wet wood, such as drying or drying, to reduce its moisture content, thereby shortening the carbonization time of charcoal. The drying furnace equipped by Henan DOING uses a temperature of 200-400 degrees, and the drying time is about 30 minutes.

3. Carbonization process of charcoal:

When Henan DOING uses advanced continuous carbonization equipment to process materials with a moisture content of less than 15% such as husks, sawdust, and bamboo chips, the charcoal raw materials are first crushed to a size of less than 2 cm by a double-shaft crusher, and then transported to the carbonization furnace by an automatic conveyor belt. At a temperature of 400-600, the raw materials stay in the furnace for about 30 minutes to complete carbonization. The particle size, density, moisture content of the raw materials and the quality of the finished charcoal will affect the carbonization time of charcoal.

4.Cooling process of charcoal:

The temperature of charcoal just after carbonization is high, and when it is fully in contact with air, it is easy to re-ignite, so the charcoal needs to be cooled. It takes 3-8 hours to cool charcoal naturally, and 1-3 hours to cool it by air cooling. However, Henan DOING uses water cooling, and sets a water cooling machine near the carbonization furnace outlet to quickly cool the carbonized material. Usually, the temperature of the carbonized material can be reduced from 400-600℃ to below 50℃ within 0.5-1.5 hours. The finished product after carbonization is cooled and transported to make it fully cooled and then sent to the material yard or silo for packaging or storage.
