PCB recycling process

Shredding-

Could be alternative from single-shaft shredder and double-shaft shredder, according to the input size and amount. Single-shaft shredder is usually adopted for the smaller input size with the capacity less than 500kg/h. For the big input quantity higher than 500kg/h, double-shaft shredder would be the choice.

Crushing-

For PCB recycling process, crushing is advised to use the hammer crusher. The hammer crusher has the benefit of small size, light weight, simple structure, easy to operate, big breaking ratio, fine and uniform crushing, high production ability, etc. PCB, as a material which is brickle, very suitable for hammer crusher.

Rotary vibrating screen-

After shredding and crushing process, PCB material is intended to be broken into small particles with metals and nonmetals separated but mix together. Just in case there are still small part of the crushed PCB material are not fully crushed and separated, it requires the rotary vibrating screen to sort out the unseparated PCB particles back to the crusher for further crushing again.

Air separation-

Separate the bigger size metals from nonmetals through the gravity difference.

Electrostatic separation-

Separate the smaller size metals from nonmetals through electromagnetostatic field.

In addition, during the PCB recycling process, there is dust removal system to collect the dust from shredding, crushing and separation process, which keep the working environment clean.

Through the above PCB recycling process, metals and nonmetals in PCB could be fully separated and recycled for further use. Metals could be further extracted or sold to the metal refining plant. Nonmetals could be recycled to make wood-plastic panels of construction materials.
